I'm offering the NEAR Spacecraft for sale.  The spacecraft is presently parked on the Eros Asteroid.  I'm offering to sell the spacecraft as is and in its present location.  My acquisition of ownership of the NEAR Spacecraft can be viewed by clicking the Acquisition of Ownership button at the top of this page.

Some Conditions of the Sale
The buyer must agree to pay all costs and taxes associated with the purchase.  The buyer must conduct all necessary legal transactions, pay all fees, obtain all permits, and resolve any and all other issues that might arise during or as a result of the sale.  Payment of such expenses shall be in addition to the selling price.

My original asking price was $6,000,000 plus all associated taxes, fees, and other expenses, as noted in the previous paragraph.  Due to various considerations I raised the asking price to $10,000,000 plus all associated taxes, fees, and other expenses, as noted in the previous paragraph.  Now, I've raised my asking price to $100,000,000 plus all associated taxes, fees, and other expenses, as noted in the previous paragraph.  I might raise the asking price again.  I suggest that you buy the spacecraft now, while you can still afford it.

The actual method of delivering the payment to me will be negotiated between me and the buyer.  My preferred method will be the establishment of a trust, a foundation, or some other such institution, as appropriate.  For convenience herein, I'll call it a trust.  The $100,000,000 payment will be placed into the trust.  Other associated taxes, fees, and other expenses, as mentioned above, are in addition to the $100,000,000 and will not be paid by the trust.  They will be paid by the buyer.

The trust will have at least two purposes.  I will reserve the power to modify the terms and conditions of the trust including but not necessarily limited to the addition of additional purposes of the trust.

The primary purpose of the trust will be to provide funds to me while I'm alive.  With regard to that purpose, the buyer must provide, when establishing the trust, an appropriate mechanism whereby I'll be able to have access to the funds and other resources of the trust.  Since I'm completely undocumented, the mechanism established must allow me to have access to the funds and other resources of the trust without being required to provide government ID.  The mechanism must be useable "on the road", since I plan to do some traveling.  A simple ATM card might do the trick.  The trust must also acquire and make available to me for my use any or all of those things that I want or need but which I'm not permitted to own, to have, or to do as a consequence of my undocumented status.  One example is transportation.

A secondary purpose of the trust will be to purchase land, to restore the land to natural habitat, and to preserve the land in that condition while I'm alive and thereafter.  With regard to the second purpose of the trust, a strategy will be for the trust to buy residential and other property for the purpose of reverse development.

Property bought by the trust will be returned to or preserved as natural habitat, with the exceptions noted herein.  I don't intend that the understanding of natural habitat shall necessarily be limited to the natural, original condition of the land.  I intend that the land shall be restored to and preserved in a natural but optimum condition for habitation by native plants and animals.

Restoration to a natural habitat will include the removal of all structures and utilities from the property.  Any pavement or other unnatural ground cover or material will be removed.  These requirements are not intended to prevent the presence or use of structures, construction, or modifications that will enable or enhance the restoration or preservation of the land as natural habitat.

On selected pieces of property, at my direction while I'm alive or at the discretion of the trustee, houses or other structures may be retained, modified, or added, provided that the primary purpose of such structures is to generate funding to maintain the funds and resources of the trust, to pay reasonable fees for the operation of the trust, and to provide funds for the continued acquisition of additional property to satisfy the purposes of the trust.

I will reserve, while I'm alive, the power to appoint the trustee.  I will reserve, while I'm alive, the power to fire the trustee at any time for any reason or for no reason.  I will reserve, while I'm alive, the power to appoint a new trustee.

I reserve the power to change the terms and conditions of this offer to sell at any time, prior to the completion of an agreement between me and a buyer, without cause or notice.  I reserve the power to cancel this offer at any time, prior to the completion of an agreement between me and a buyer, without cause or notice.
